Disclaimer
1. General information
Keystride and everything on it is provided for general information, practice and entertainment. We work hard to keep it accurate and up to date, but we make no guarantee that it is. Please read this together with our Terms of Use.
2. Typing results
Words per minute, accuracy and every other statistic are calculated by your browser while you type. They can be affected by your device, keyboard, browser, extensions, screen and settings, and they can differ from other typing sites, which count in different ways (see why WPM differs between sites). Results are for practice and personal interest, and are not an official certification of typing ability.
3. Daily challenge and time zone
Days run on Greenwich Mean Time (GMT, UTC+0). A new daily challenge starts at 00:00 GMT every day and lasts 24 hours, whatever your local time zone. In South Africa (UTC+2), a new challenge starts at 02:00.
- Everyone in the world gets the same challenge during the same GMT day. The day of the week (and so the day's theme), the challenge number and your streak all follow GMT, so they may not match your local date late at night or early in the morning.
- Each challenge is generated by your browser from the date. If your device's date or clock is wrong, you may see a different challenge and your streak may be affected.
- Daily scores and streaks are stored only in your browser. Keystride has no public leaderboard, cannot check scores that people share, and is not responsible for disputes about them.
4. Health and ergonomics
Our articles on typing posture, desk setup and repetitive strain injury give general information based on public sources such as OSHA, Cornell University and the NHS. They are not medical advice and are not a substitute for advice from a doctor, physiotherapist or other qualified professional. If you have pain, tingling, numbness or weakness that does not go away or gets worse, stop and seek professional advice. Never ignore or delay professional advice because of something you read on Keystride.
5. Research and history articles
Some articles summarise studies and other published sources, which are listed at the end of each article. The findings belong to their authors. Our summaries reflect our reading of those sources when the article was written, and later research may change the picture, so please check the original sources before relying on any figure. Mentioning a study, product, organisation, keyboard layout or trademark does not mean it endorses Keystride or that we are connected to it.
6. External links
Links to other websites are provided for convenience and as sources. We have no control over those sites and accept no responsibility for their content, accuracy, availability or privacy practices.
7. Availability and offline copies
Keystride can work offline using copies of its pages saved in your browser. Those copies are refreshed automatically when you are next online, so until then you may see an older version. We may change or remove any part of the site at any time.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Nova Site is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or reliance on, Keystride or its content. The full terms are in sections 11 and 12 of our Terms of Use.
9. Contact
